CHESTER STREET EDINBURGH

This project was an exciting renovation from an old office into a stunning West End flat.
The building work was carried out by 'Sundial Properties' and the clients, who purchased the flat from the plans, were able to instruct the company to make subtle changed suit their style and budget. I was brought in to help pull the 'Interiors Scheme' together, help to advise on colours and supply furniture to furnish and complete this stunning scheme. I worked extremely closely with the clients, helping them to chose the right pieces of furniture for these very large rooms with exceptionally high ceilings.

Most of the pieces were 'Bespoke' such as the very large luxury bed with an extended height on the headboard to be proportional to the height of the ceilings. The other pieces of furniture in the bedroom were also bespoke and made to fit the particular spaces.

The large 'Gilbert' corner sofa was bespoke, although based on a standard design. Again, with the size of the room, this had to make a statement and impact as one walked into the room. All the soft linen fabrics and contrast velvet fabrics for some of the bedroom furniture was supplied by Arcadia Interiors. This project was completed at the end of 2015 and from start to finish, was a joy to work on. I worked closely with the lovely clients and as we got on very well and with the bonus of having similar taste and style, this was an exceptionally rewarding and exciting project.

Catherine Goldsmith was super to work with from concept to final product. When we bought our new apartment, Catherine helped us transform our home. Her keen eye to all aspects of this project were inspiring. She is accomplished with colour, room layout and sourcing stylish furniture. We are so grateful to Catherine for her expertise and would recommend her for all interior design needs.
