NEW BRACHKASHIE COTTAGE INVERNESS-SHIRE

New Brachkashie Cottage near Fort Augustus in the Highlands.
The project was very close to my heart as we own the cottage and have restored it from a very dated, tired looking Highland cottage to an idyllic retreat for friends and family to enjoy! The emphasis on the cottage is a simple style with soft Highlands colours. I introduced lots of natural products such a tumbled limestone in the kitchen and I used natural sisal flooring throughout the living area and bedrooms. Our builders were skilled joiners so were able to create stylish shelving in the sitting room and we panelled a lot of the walls to help create a cosy feel to the cottage. All the fabrics are supplied by Arcadia Interiors and the curtains and blinds made up by my skilled curtain maker.
